Definitely worth a visit…………….. We popped in for a coffee wrecking ball is a cafe, music outlet and live venue, for a bite to eat, it was first thing on a Sunday morning and was very quiet, got a flat white and a tea cake, all of which was very nice. Sausage rolls and soup on offer as well. The cafe has a mix of dining tables and lounging areas all very comfortable and the decor gives it a great vibe. Finished up and had a wander into the into the music outlet, which holds a mix of vinyls, cassettes and cd’s, new and second hand. Picked up some Lp’s and 45’s, we will be back.
Lovely record and bookshop. Great café with gluten-free cake. Relaxing place and you can read the books whilst eating and drinking.
When I go into Hull to the theatre I often go a little early and choose somewhere for a coffee or some lunch. Walking down Whitefriargate today I noticed a blackboard advertising the coffee shop in Wrecking Ball. What a lovely surprise! The coffee shop area is at the rear of the shop; the front is full of vinyl from so many well known bands, lots of interesting and unusual books plus merchandise. So interesting! The staff were warm and welcoming and there was a really lovely atmosphere. There were tables and chairs but I opted if one of the colourful settees and low tables. I had a pot of tea and a really good free from gluten chicken sandwich. This is obviously a great venue with lots going on. PS It’s also dog friendly with free doggie treats on the counter.
This place is a gem ... intimate gigs, seating for those that want to, lends itself perfectly to creating a great atmosphere with excellent acoustics. Attended lots of gigs here and will continue to do so.
First time my wife and I have visited, specifically for a music gig upstairs. Very clean, great sound system, and over all a fantastic experience. Friendly staff/owner, good range of refreshments, comfy chairs, and did I mention how good the sound system was ? Superb little venue for about 60 guests, will most certainly look at future gigs there.
