Reviews
Vinyl Shakedown is our local so I may be a bit biased but this is a really cool store ran by a very lovely and knowledgeable guy. Grant is always super welcoming, friendly and approachable. He has impeccable taste and a keen eye for rare or unique records so the selection is always fantastic and varied. You wouldn’t expect to find half of the things he has on offer in a city record store let alone one tucked away in little old Burbage. A must visit.
Wandered over to the shop whilst visiting family in the area to see what all the fuss is about. Cracking shop, decent vibe, really nice guy running the show, great selection of new and vintage stuff, at reasonable prices. 2 hours browsing flew by! Came away with several boxes ticked. Good luck in your ventures .....
It was great to pop in yesterday, first time since the move, and wow, very impressed. Lots of choice, great pricing and the records in brilliant condition. It's fantastic to see small independent shops around.....so please support them. Thank you Grant, I'll be back soon to do some more digging.
Went into Shakedown Records for the first time today. The guy who runs it is very friendly and helpful. There's a surprisingly wide range of vinyl, all reasonably priced - I came away with 3 good 60's albums for under a tenner, all in. Will definitely go back.
This record shop is crammed with gems with great choice and condition and competitively price. A crate diggers paradise. I visited in it's opening month in June and went back in December for a late evening opening to celebrate 6 month of opening. I spent £86 and it could have been a lot more. Everything I bought which was all second hand is in mint condition. They also sell new press which is competitively priced. The owner is charismatic, passionate and engaging. A valuable addition to Burbage and Leicestershire.
