Very horrible experience, went in with my dad and thought ah a nice local business. But it soon turned sour. We spent a good half hour looking through vinyls and picked out at least 20 and he took 10 away from us straight away saying that he hadn’t had chance to price them, as he’d only just purchased them and then come back trying to charge us 5 times the price it said on the labels. I understand trying to make some money but a 500% mark up is really taking the mick. And when I questioned this in a polite manner and he jumped down my throat and started saying how dare I insinuate that he’s trying to pull the wool over peoples eyes! And was very aggressive and I felt threatened and I’m not easily intimidated. Also from the minute we walked in couldn’t hear each other over the very loud music. Will NEVER EVER GO BACK!! and I suggest people steer well clear!!!! Also I’ve noticed that all the good reviews on hear about the coffee, is this not supposed to be a vinyl shop. Absolutely shocking customer manner/service
Brilliant spot! Had an amble around Bury St Edmunds stumbled on it brilliant The atmosphere is immaculate, the coffee was delicious the choice in music is calm and relaxing whilst also showing something off the regular path I'd love to know what was playing when we were in earlier Vinyl collections are brilliant and well sorted they are also so fairly priced normally too in similar stores they either do terrible coffee or rip you off on the vinyls but neither was the case here
What a terrific shop! On the way home from a few days in Suffolk, we decided to break up our journey home with a couple of hours in Bury St. Edmunds. So glad we did, because finding the techno section in Vinyl Hunter lead to some unexpected finds and purchases. Really great shape with an astonishing range of stock. Long may you run.
Stumbled upon this little gem whilst visiting Bury St Edmonds for a rugby game. Fantastic collection of second hand and new vinyl. I will definitely be visiting again and hopefully with more time to get a drink and have a better look through the vast selection of LPs on sale. Well worth a visit. Super cool place to buy or party! They have a an alcoholic drinks licence and put on events, small business, nice vibes, go support them! Shops like this are too rare!!!
