Booked a demo here with Ian in February 2025. From walking through the door the whole showroom setup is unbelievable. Can't credit Ian enough his knowledge is 2nd to none and he makes the whole experience so professional. Bought a Rega P3 RS and a set of Raurk Sabre R speakers along with cables. We had a problem with our rega turntable and were directed to vinyl groove audio. On meeting Ian we immediately knew things would be sorted to our satisfaction. His knowledge and experience were obvious and his attitude was to be very helpful, informative and engaging without being patronising. Once the repairs were completed he delivered the equipment to our home and installed it with a meticulous professionalism, going above and beyond by helping set up the streaming device too. Booked an audition this weekend at Vinyl Groove Audio and have nothing but good things to say. Ian made the whole experience enjoyable and comfortable…. He knows his onions,but is friendly and professional with no hint of pressuring. Just as importantly the after sales service is superb.

I left with a new (or ex-demo) Rega brio amp and PMC prodigy 1 speakers and after 2 weeks of running in the speakers improved to a glorious sound, as Ian said they would. They are so suitable for the small listening room in my flat. After a great unpressured demo of 2 hours with my own records accompanied by really good espresso in his beautiful showroom with handpicked audio equipment. I then ordered some new records from his recommendations for sale on-site. He knows his onions when it comes to hi-fi and also music. Moreover after the delivery company messed up the time for pickup he loaded my stuff into his own car after work and drove the 45 minutes to my flat just to ensure I got them on the right day. A beautiful experience all around and a nice man to boot. I left with a greater impression of the sound of vinyl( and what it could be after a quick spin through his Reference system) I will be back for more records online and a demo of a new Rega p3rs turntable.

Having previously had a positive experience a couple of years ago when purchasing my Rega Planar 3 turntable I did not hesitate to turn to VGA again when it was time to upgrade my speakers. Ian was very accommodating when I cold called one Sunday afternoon and after explaining my lounge layout limitations, demoed some suitable speakers within my budget. I was immediately impressed with the Sonus Faber Sonetto I G2s which sounded (and looked) amazing. Whilst I was comfortable with the demo turntable being the same as mine I did worry that there would be a difference (verses the Rega amps) once hooked up to my Cambridge CXA amp / ifi Zen Phono stage. Ian subsequently booked me in for a follow - up visit, when I could bring down my own kit to connect to the Sonettos. What followed over the next 2 hours was the best Hi-Fi demonstration experience you could ever have! After listening to my own vinyl and music streams it was reassuring to know that these gem of a speaker sounded equally as good as at my first listen. This enabled me to purchase with confidence and as Ian promised, having run in these speakers at home for several weeks they sound better than ever. Throw in a great cup of coffee, a record cleaning service that makes a real difference and a relaxed no pressure atmosphere and I can thoroughly recommend that Vinyl Groove Audio should be at the top of your list when looking to purchase quality audio equipment.
