Superb vinyl record store, not far from the City centre and easy to find. You can easily spend hours looking at their wide range of music, which is designed to cater to a wide audience and hopefully allow customers to explore other music genre as well. Please help support this great independent store and try to make a trip if in Edinburgh visiting or a local City resident. Also they post to customers. I found a great collection of Soul classics to add to my vinyl collection. Thank you.

I have recently purchased a record player and decided to visit Umbrella Vinyl on the weekend - as a jazz and soul lover this shop did not disappoint - I bought a couple of records which are in amazing condition. Will definitely be back again and again!

Had some time to kill in Edinburgh and this record shop seemed right up my street. It really didn’t disappoint. A great selection of records that were in good quality, well graded, and fairly priced. The staff were very helpful and keen to discuss the music. I mostly delved in to the jazz, soul and reggae sections but would love to have explored the African records as well. Great jazz selection with some Japanese pressings as well. It was a wholly enjoyable record shopping my experience and I’d recommend to anyone visiting. Definitely up there as one of my favourite record stores. Perfect store in every way!

Great record shop!! I always make a point of visiting when I’m in Edinburgh. The team are extremely knowledgeable and I always get a friendly welcome. Can’t recommend it highly enough.
