If you need vinyl upfront or classic Chris will endeavour to source it for you. Great shop with the tattooed guy who isn’t as good looking as Clare from record basement.
I would just like to thank Townsend Records for their outstanding customer service. I was looking for a specific Dermot Kennedy record that was not available to me in the United States. This family owned and operated business went above and beyond to help make sure I was able to get the record! I have worked in retail management for 12 yrs and this was probably the best customer service I’ve ever come across. I will being doing more business with them in the future! Townsend Records is a must when looking for your favorite music! Thanks again to these folks! 5 stars!
Been in a couple of times and each time felt comfortable. I know that sounds odd but I find some shops where vinyl is sold intimidating, like I'm out of place. One visit was pre covid and one time more recently. Both times felt very alike even though the second visit meant having a few Covid19 steps to take first. I believe this is a credit to the management that things were in place to keep it safe but in a way where I could barely notice a change in the overall experience. Each time I came away with something which made me get home as soon as and get the record player ready! Second time there was a battle for the player as I got a treat for my boyfriend too. Such a massive range available in store and help should you need it or want something specific. Thank you for being a fab asset to a wonderful high street that the community is proud of!
When it's RSD I usually pop over to X-Records in Bolton, but because of Covid it was closed. So with this I called into Townsend Records, Great Harwood. Was pretty impressed with the selection. What they didn't have in, was available at their Clitheroe shop. Only problem was that when I came out my wallet was some £300+ lighter!!! Lol...
