My husband and I were in Hay-on-Wye over the weekend and initially weren’t looking for any records for us, but decided to ask for recommendations to start a jazz collection. The owner was such a fountain of knowledge and so passionate about music. A great little shop!
Cosy little record shop, with all sorts of genres and tastes catered for. The dog that was there was sweet as well, and I won't ever say no to a dog wanting to be stroked! Be aware, some of the more in demand records, e.g the Beatles, can be on the slightly pricier side of things.
How all vinyl shops should be. Great music playing ( how many shops don't even play vinyl these days? ), friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Varied selection and racks you can actually view the record sleeve, not the top 2 inches because the merchandise is so tightly packed. Superb Jazz section and some gems in the Alternative section. Highly recommended.
