I have bought a few records from the record album over the years and they always have a great selection at fair prices. last time i copped a cannonball adderley LP and my favourite Thad Jones/Mel Lewis album. friendliest shop in town imo, go check it out
I walked past this shop, excited about the window display, only to be met with sarcastic, dismissive comments from staff (young men). It looked lovely in there, but I felt immediately uncomfortable and left.
The Record Album is a deeply underrated Brighton staple if you ask me. Newt and I had been meaning to pop by as part of our hunt for Sparks records and we were lucky enough to leave with Sparks’ Terminal Jive and a Steely Dan record. Ben was an absolute delight as well :) Unfortunately I can’t give it five stars and it’s not even slightly wheelchair accessible. It’s a couple of steps up to get inside and it’s a tight fit once you get in there :/
Great choice of vinyl at good, fair prices. Soundtrack choice is fantastic, but lots of other genres to pick through too. Literally a 1 min walk from the train station, staff were friendly and helpful, which to be honest, doesn't always happen in record shops, does it?
A very small shop, and no parking! The records hadn’t been placed in a very orderly way, the placing of the alphabetical order wasn’t very easy to understand and they were all just a little bit mixed up, so therefore, not easy to find what you’re looking for.
