Stood around waiting while the lad ignored all the customers and strummed a guitar. Picked up a bass with £500 in my pocket. Got told off for touching! I invited him to go elsewhere and I went elsewhere to spend my money at Rich Tone music, where they know how to talk to customers.
bit hard to find, but has a warm atmosphere and many high quality guitars and accessories such as straps, amps, etc.
Great little store at the bottom of the lanes selling musical instruments old records and sheet music.
Great if you're a beginner and don't know any better. The range of instruments available is aimed at a very low budget and the quality will reflect that. There is, however, a reasonable selection of books, even if they are fairly basic. It is a shame there is no higher range instruments available to get in more trade than absolute beginners.
Many people have written less than positive reviews. However I found the staff very friendly and helpful. I bought an acoustic guitar from them. I thought that the guitar was well set up and they let me try out a few models before I decided on one. Lots of choice in the shop from a selection of books to many styles of guitar. Not vintage or high end stuff but lots of good and affordable stuff. Nowadays you don't have to buy the traditional branded names to get a good guitar. Many imported brands offer excellent quality not just for beginners. Overall a positive experience.
