I’m so pleased. I went in expecting it to be mostly old vinyls, but I found a Gracie Abrams - Good Riddance (Deluxe) Double LP. Usually, you would have to import this from the US and it would cost a lot of money, but I got it for £25 and it is brand new and sealed! Also offered us a drink. Friendly staff, good prices. Worth a visit, even if you’re like me and aren’t really interested in the old vinyls, as there are quite a few newer ones
Bought my chosen album on line, ordered yesterday, 20 Jan' 25 my item was delivered this morning 21 Jan, amazing service, vinyl is as described, plays beautifully, thank you so much, you certainly exceeded any expectations I may have had. Kathryn
A great shop that reminded me of the second hand record shops I used to visit in the 90's. The staff were really friendly. There were records, cassette, tapes all kinds of music paraphernalia. The was singer performing live in store when I was there and she sounded great. I really like this store I just wish the was one like this in London.
I was passing through Birmingham on my way to Tanworth-In-Arden and stopped into The Diskery. I found their selection to be simply incredible. Since I was travelling around the UK I gravitated towards the 45's (smaller, easier to cart around). Literally every single box was full of gems. I pulled so many and the prices were so good that I went a little nuts. There were three gentlemen there and when I first walked in and they were having a great time, talking music, playing records, commenting on the musicians and the bands - it made me feel so welcome and the comradery was palpable. While I was digging one of the three gentlemen asked if I wanted coffee or tea!!!! Being from the States and buying and shopping for records and digging for over 25 years I have NEVER been asked that in any shop I have ever been to! It was quite a gesture and I again felt immediately at home. I wish I could remember their names and that makes me feel bad - another thing that NEVER happens here in the States is that they let me use their bathroom!!! All three of them asked to look through what I picked out and they all said "you really know your stuff". I cannot say enough great things about this record shop and it pains me to say that the only reason I may never go back is because I live in the States. That being said if I can ever get back to Birmingham The Diskery is a shop I will need to visit because of all of the above AND I didn't have any time to look in the basement. Well done guys and cheers for the hospitality!!
A real treasure trove of a record store with a super welcoming vibe. Definitely worth going and spending an hour or two having a dig.
