My first visit to Slipped Discs record store today. What a fantastic experience. I found some absolute gems that I have been looking for and James introduced me to a new band I’ve never heard of but fell in love with instantly, I bought the album immediately. If you’re into vinyl it’s well worth a trip to see what’s on offer.
I took a record in that had become stuck to the liner of a sleeve(foam), and these kind people managed to clean and restore, so I was able to now play this LP. Great people, highly recommend
Made a special trip here from Brighton and was very glad that I did. This is a brilliant record store. Fantastic selection of vinyl both new and used. I am a sucker for the latter. Found three gems I was looking for at what I regard as being a very reasonable price. Charming owners too. Do visit if you can.
James couldn’t possibly have been more polite, helpful and knowledgeable. For sentimental reasons I was seeking several albums from my teenage past as I wanted to frame them, therefore the covers in particular, needed to be in in good condition. James came up trumps and even acquired one quickly which wasn’t in his stock at the time. I cannot recommend him highly enough. If you have some spare time, pop in and wile away an hour perusing through his wonderful shop.
The service I received at Slipped Discs cannot be surpassed elsewhere. James is so knowledgeable and helpful - after reaching out to him for his help, he identified the issue I was having with my turntable/LP (not even bought from his store), gave loads of great advice, and ended up selling me one of his old decks at an incredible price! There was absolutely no pressure behind the sale. I am now a proud owner of a Technics 1200 Mk 2. The most amazing service and advice every step of the way, thank you.
