Sadly, I live in the US and am not able to visit this record store in person. But I have purchased from them online and they have been absolutely wonderful to work with, from communication, to the honest condition of the album, great shipping times and helping me with getting a few extras for my boyfriend's birthday. Ben has been friendly and helpful and I am very pleased with the customer service. And when we travel to the UK, this is going to be one of the first record stores I visit!
Helpful, friendly staff, very knowledgeable. Excellent prices and an extensive collection of music - could spend all day digging through. I wouldn't go anywhere else, I've never left empty handed.
What an amazing selection! Skeleton Records has a long history and it’s great to know it's in new, capable hands. It's well worth a browse the next time you're in the area!
Vinyl is back on the rise. I was not visiting to purchase, I was selling my late father's collection. I was expecting to turn up with the box and meet someone who will give them a once over and then throw me a price within seconds.... An hour and a bit later after every record was checked over we came to a price. And I don't say that as a negative, it's actually a good thing that someone goes to that level, because once it leaves my hands there is every chance you could find them in yours. So I would be happy I would be getting decent quality records. All the scratched and damaged ones were passed back to me for me to dispose of. As a purchaser I don't think I have ever seen such an array of music. I will be honest , you won't find much dance/techno and drum & bass, but plenty of rock, metal, soul, funk, disco, etc etc. There is a degree of organisation to finding your records, but be prepared to do a fair bit of crate digging. They also sell CDs and cassettes to. It's like stepping back in time.
RUBBISH, crap service, have a pile of singles stacked on top of eachother with no sleeve in sight, and charging £30 for vinyls with the sleeve damaged, and when you buy an album they don’t even give u the protective sleeve, can buy brand new for same prices in HMV.
