Saltcoats Record Centre

I went in to sell some vinyls almost in pristine condition and was given the old excuse of ‘oh look at all the other vinyls I’ve got that aren’t selling’ and got given the insulting offer of £10 per vinyl when I spent approximately £150 on them and the man then went on his phone and started looking up the absolute cheapest possible price on any old website. I have bought from this shop on the past and the vinyls looked good in the shop but when I got home I looked further only to discover the covers for the vinyls where ripped and tore and bent in some places which puts into question how these things are getting priced I will show pictures below of the vinyls I took to sell and the ones I purchased. If you are looking for high quality vinyls, CDs or anything of the sort I highly recommend going anywhere but this place 1 star do not recommend to anyone .

My son loves visiting, the owners are lovely and take the time to engage with all their customers. We have visited a few vynyl shops, but this is now the one. Lots of care put into looking after the records, with a large varied collection to browse. There are also many new items every visit!!

Great collection of well maintained records at excellent prices. A good choice of 70s/80s heavy metal and hard rock as well a surprising amount of British folk rock. Would definitely go again.

On a spur of the moment visit to Saltcoats - popped in to this wonderful wee record shop. Ended up browsing in there for about an hour. Made very welcome by owner, who knows his stuff alright. I will definitely be back.

Great record shop with a fantastic selection of used records. The owner is very friendly. A great place to spend an hour or two looking through some vinyl.
