Rough Trade Liverpool opened in April 2024 in the Hanover Street area of the Liverpool One shopping complex, marking Rough Trade’s first venture into the north of England. Positioned in a high-traffic retail district, the 3,000 sq ft shop features a café, bar, and a versatile performance space in addition to its core retail offering of new and second-hand vinyl, CDs and music memorabilia. The store’s interior pays homage to Liverpool’s storied music pedigree, with curated displays celebrating local icons from The Beatles to emerging regional acts. By integrating live events, bespoke record clubs and community collaborations, Rough Trade Liverpool seeks to revive the independent music ethos in a city synonymous with musical innovation, further extending the chain’s nationwide influence.

Lovely intimate venue with helpful staff and a great sound system. I haven't visited the shop yet, but I visited for the Ezra Furman gig and the staff couldn't have been more helpful assisting me with my access needs as a disabled person. I had a great time at the show, the place had a really positive and friendly atmosphere and even the toilets were spotless (something I've never been able to say about a music venue before!) I can't wait to visit again!
Loved this venue. We attended a small, intimate gig with Jake Bugg and it was fantastic. The gig venue is upstairs, there's a smart bar with seating right outside the room and a good selection of drinks. The staff were friendly and helpful. The sound for the gig was just right, not excessive volume and nice and clear which was important for an accoustic set like Jake Bugg was doing. The ticket price was cheap at £30 and included the artists new album on CD which arrived by post the day after the gig, one for each ticket holder so we have 3 copies. The venue is about a 2 minute walk from Central Station and there are loads of bars and restaurants around.
Only here for an Oat Milk Latte but what a terrific setting to drink it betwixt the vinyl and books.
The service was a great, pretty cool, and well organized record store. They have a venue attached right next to it as well. Def recommend
Nice selection of vinyl with good pricing! Got a low price on a multi-disc REM set.
