lovely little shop! i come here whenever i'm in the local area. lovely assortment of vinyl (and CDs, mainly what i go there for since i don't collect vinyl) all for quite cheap! i've added loads to my CD collection from the selection and bargains i get here. the owner steve is quite nice as well! very knowledgeable on all sorts of music and a great man to have a chat with while you're having a look through the albums
This is a wonderful, slightly hidden gem of a record / CD shop. It is run by a seemingly miserable but deep-down lovely man called Steve. He listens to far too much Bob Dylan to be able to carry a constantly cheerful disposition but that only makes us love him more. He has a panoramic knowledge of music and before I decided to open my very own record shop some distance away this was the place I would drive 1-hour to shop at. Please support your local independent record shop and if ever you are in the Birmingham vicinity this is where I would unreservedly recommend you go to in order to receive your vinyl 'fix'.
One of the best in brum. Great varied selection + Steve is very knowledgeable (especially if you like Bob Dylan) and general stand up human being. 10/10 would recommend you have to get down to this spot if you’re passing through Birmingham.
A lovely little record shop in King’s Heath, ably run by friendly Dylan-obsessive, Steve. There may not be tonnes of second-hand vinyl to sift through, but there are lots of CDs to choose from and a good selection of new vinyl. The best thing about PBR is the lively conversation and discussion about music. It’s what good record shops used to thrive on. Steve can also point you in the direction of some new and old music that you didn’t know you would enjoy. I’m very pleased that he was playing an album I didn’t have, and so managed to pick up while I was there. Will definitely be back. Thanks Steve. ✌
Great local record shop, fair prices, decent selection and helpful staff. Steve who runs the shop is knowledgable and friendly. Shop also sells new vinyl, and has quite a range of used vinyl from classic rock to jazz. Also all vinyl I have seen/checked in super condition. Highly recommended.
