Shop is reopened as of yesterday. Owner is very friendly and chatty and the selection is incredible.
Used to like looking through the records but since it's changed hands I may think twice. I asked to look at a record on the wall, so I started to examine the vinyl and the owner offered to test it as it had some marks. He gets it off the turntable and says "I think I might take this home with me" bearing in mind this is a £80 album, So I decided not to buy it. I continued to browse and I overheard him talking to another customer saying that the records are selling quickly and not enough people are bringing stuff to sell, then stated "I might have to shut the shop for week to increase my prices". After all that I only stayed for couple more minutes and walked out. I hope the previous owner (Nick) decides to come back after seeing any existing and future bad reviews.
Is this place still operating ? Every time I've been over the past few months it has been closed. Used to be a great place to buy used vinyl.
I always went here for my vinyl, not any more. This shop is under new ownership who is so rude. If your looking at the condition of the vinyl to add to your precious collection, don’t go here the owner doesn’t like it! He doesn’t like you looking at the actual vinyl (weirdly)Extremely rude and unhelpful. I put my potential purchase down and walked out.
Great shop. Small but with a huge selection. And there always seems to be fresh stock. Never not bought anything and the pricing is bang on. Nick has always given me a great deal. Highly recommended for serious collectors.
