Good shop, worth a visit. Hussar takes the time to prep all his records to a good standard. I didn’t ask for a receipt for that reason, you can tell the man is passionate about his music and doesn’t cut corners.
Kind and respectful staff, very clean environment, whether you are after that special record for your loved one, and or collection, simply buy 12"s for DJ'ing, or any other kind of music, I reckon there is something for everyone at this independent record store. I believe each record, whatever the price, is cleaned before being displayed on the shelving. Thank you Hussar Records! (There is a hireable music studio nearby too).
I live in Plymouth. I have visited Hussar Records twice. Each time I have been very impressed with the quality of the used vinyl I have purchased. The owner takes great pride in the cleaning of each record. He then assesses the condition of the disc and sleeve, then prices the album accordingly. His prices are spot on. If you pay £12 for an album, you can bet it will be money well spent. For something a little rarer, you might have to pay a little more. But be assured, you get what you pay for. On my first visit I had a new album to sell (sent to me in error by Amazon). The owner checked the average price online and gave me a fair price. I chose to use the money to buy more records. Go on. Treat yourself. Visit Hussar Records.
This has to be by far the best record shop that I have visited in the South West! The selection of pre-loved records is something to behold. The customer service and quality of records is exceptional. You can tell that they love providing a great service by the record sleeves that they use on all records. I will definitely become a regular customer to this shop but my only issue is that my wallet is going to take a battering. You will absolutely not be disappointed with visiting Hussar Records. The only issue that I have is "Why have I only just found this record shop?" Hats off to the owners!
Stopped in the other day on my way to Newquay with the family. WOW! This has to be the best store for collectable original records in all of the South West hands down! Has a vast array of records from every genre at very reasonable prices indeed. The shop owner is a great guy and has very strong knowledge of music and record collecting. I am going back in a few days to buy some more. For the serious record collector this is the place to go!
