Great store with lots of choice. One of the few places left to buy physical media, such as CDs and blu-rays. Staff are friendly, choice is good, conveniently located. Try Fopp also, which is equally good.

I Injured my finger on one of the rough wooden pallets they use to store goods on. When I went to pick up one of their mystery boxes for my daughter an approximately 1 cm long, thick splinter of wood and debris went under my finger nail causing bleeding and despite me pulling out what I could I was left with an amount of wood and other foreign matter under my fingernail which I had to basically operate on at home to remove with a knife and tweezers. Not the worst injury in the world but painful and left and left me in discomfort for the rest of the day and slightly worried about possible infection until I got home and could sort it. I bought the mystery box and thought I had better report my injury to the person on the checkout expecting them to at least show some interest in looking at what had caused it in case the same thing happened to someone else but there was very little reaction apart from a vague apology.

I've been several times to this HMV and they have a good selection of vinyls, cds as well as books. Today I went in looking for cassettes and unfortunately they had a limited selection, however, one of the employees Luke showed me the available cassettes, the selection online and also independent record stores in Leeds that I could buy from for particular albums. The customer service was really great and not something that you find a lot in this day and age. I would recommend!

They've got a huge selection of records, cds and dvds etc. Nothing is competitively priced, their so called deals aren't what they seem and make you spend more than you normally would want to, these promotions can change and fall outside of the so called deals. Takes the piss

Love shopping here. Always got a good range of products and the staff actually engage you at the till, super friendly and smiley.
