Great selection of goods, from CDs to Japanese snacks. The team were welcoming, both during my shopping experience and at the cashier. Prices were reasonable, and there was also a nice stack of discounted vinyl records.
I’ve been to this store a lot since it opened and I pretty much always buy something because I love the store and want these kind of shops to keep going since you (know hmv closed last time.) Plus it’s always fun to look around. Well I won’t be going anymore. If I want something from HMV I’ll order online. I don’t get out much due to difficulties I have so when I do go out it it’s the one time I get to talk to people or socialise. I’m trying to get better after a traumatic event. Apparently as a queer person I can’t talk to someone without being treated “othered” or like I kicked someone’s dog. I should of known something was up when all the shops in parkway seemed to be given pride flag stickers over pride and some displayed them proudly on the door of their shop and HMV put the trans one in the bottom corner window right at the very end so you barley noticed it almost impossible to see (Wouldn’t want that “dirtying up your store” if you didn’t want the flag just say you could barely see it anyway I had to look for it) I’m so tired of giving people the benefit of the doubt. Of trying… this small town is bad enough and I’m pretty sure the manager just made things worse. Thanks for making my life just that little bit worse I guess. Because now one of the last few small things I enjoyed I won’t anymore. That’s one more place on the huge list of places I just don’t feel welcome.
Great experience was just perfect i saw what i needed instantly and brought it. Great customer service a friendly place to be qith Frinedly staff. Who are always happy to help :)
Disability review: The customer service at this store is so much more outgoing and friendly. I'm a wheelchair user and it's refreshing to feel validated as a customer. Two of your team members on separate occasions asked me if I needed any assistance. I was served by Sasha (who was one of the two that assisted me) she was super helpful & friendly.
It was good, and me and my brother are very glad with what we got. Although, there wasn't alot of miku stuff. Which means I'm either very blind and wrong or very sad and right :(
