Grub Records is a distinctive hybrid space combining a carefully curated record shop with a neighbourhood natural wine bar, located on Queen’s Road in Sheffield. Opened in 2024, it was founded by a collective deeply embedded in the city’s vibrant music scene, with roots in projects such as Apricot Ballroom, Groundwork, Mondo Radio, and Control.
The shop specialises in expertly selected electronic music and features a custom-built DJ booth designed by the Grub Records team. Inside, sound is delivered through a high-end pair of Tannoy Westminster monitors, creating an exceptional listening environment.
Throughout the day, guest selectors provide a rotating soundtrack, and it’s not uncommon for DJs performing at club nights across the city to drop in for a warm-up set. With the added appeal of a natural wine bar, Grub Records offers a relaxed yet dynamic atmosphere—perfect for those who enjoy digging through vinyl while sipping a glass of something special.
