Green cat Record shop

Very friendly and helpful staff and good prices for good quality vinyl records. Hope i can visit again soon when I'm back up this way

Popped in to Green Cat while on holiday in Dunbar April 2023. Can't speak highly enough. Superb selection and nicely laid out and organised. But what stood out to me is the care the owner puts in to the vinyl out for sale. They all have a label on the PVC jacket with info about the release, any notes about condition and included or missing insert/ obi etc. Prices are sensible and competitive, which is a refreshing change now-a-days. They also must clean everything with a decent RCM as the 6 or so I bought were glistening and sound as good as they could possibly be. The owner (or whoever was working on Good Friday) was really friendly and helpful. I guess the only downside is it's cash only, but I suppose that helps keep within a sensible budget :-) There is an ATM opposite and lets face it, most record collectors are used to cash only so always carry emergency notes!!!!! Thank you for keeping this shop. I will return when next in the area

Very, very good record shop (with a fairly large cd selection and some hifi kit also on sale). The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable and everything is very fairly priced. Always come away with something good here. Wish there was more space to display the other CDs stashed away underneath the main shelving in boxes - need to dig into these next time I'm in.

Came across Green Cat whilst in the borders last summer,what a great shop plenty of new and used and great prices.Im there in November for Jason Isbell at Usher Hall so I will certainly be calling again.

This is an amazing place such a wonderful collection. I had to walk out after buying two albums otherwise l would have been bankrupt. Still sneaked back next day to find another classic. A must visit.
