This eclectic vinyl haven specializes in soulful genres like blues, reggae, jazz and funk, with a wonderfully chaotic atmosphere that adds to its charm. While the interior may appear disorganized, the shop maintains a solid selection of second-hand records that are fairly priced, with new additions regularly hitting the shelves. The passionate staff are always eager to share their musical knowledge, making it an ideal spot for both serious collectors and casual browsers to discover hidden gems among the organized chaos.

Somewhat cluttered and seemingly shambolic interior concedes little to design or layout but goes large on atmosphere. Specialising in blues, soul, reggae, ska, jazz, funk, rap, hip-hop, Afro-beat, and their kith ‘n kin with a smattering of other recognised popular genres. Stock second-hand with quality varying from the (visually) mediocre to very good. Reasonable depth but with a fairly high instance of dross - but priced accordingly. Tapes, books, ancillaries and bits ‘n bobs add to the clutter and unique flavour. You’re bound to find something here and unlikely to leave empty-handed.
Good selection of music, including reggae, afrobeat, jazz, funk, soul and more. A bit cluttered but worth it as new stock added fairly regularly. Can be a bit hit or miss with opening times but they clearly have passion for old vinyl. Downsides are it's hipster country, so don't expect many bargains, you can play your picks on the shop turntables but none have treble controls, so don't expect to hear the scratches until you get them home. And on the hipster tip, beware some of the goons who rock up to chat with the guy behind the counter, so bad you'll either leave the shop or burst out laughing. There are better second hand vinyl shops, but these guys are trying
Nice selection, fair prices
A great dig. Prices are very reasonable. Covers are a bit shaggy, but all vinyl I checked out was quite good. Just a great place for jazz, soul, funk, etc. Anywhere with a CTI section get a 5 from me!
If you’re in Dalston/Hackney area this is your first stop for Sweet Soul/Low Rider and Sweet Soul Ballad 45s. The owner is very passionate too and would spend an important amount of time giving you tips and suggestions based on your musical preferences. So good. I’ll be back.
