Dragon Records is hands down the best record store in Belfast. Nestled in the heart of the city, this shop is a treasure trove for vinyl lovers, offering an eclectic and well-curated selection that caters to every musical taste. Whether you're hunting for metal, jazz, punk, electronic, or rare gems, Dragon Records delivers in spades. What truly sets this store apart, however, is its owner, Jeff. Erudite, passionate, and endlessly knowledgeable, Jeff is the kind of record store owner you dream of meeting. He doesn’t just sell records—he curates experiences, offering insightful recommendations, deep musical history, and the kind of conversation that keeps you coming back. His enthusiasm for music is infectious, and whether you're a seasoned collector or a newcomer to vinyl, he makes you feel welcome. Beyond the selection and service, Dragon Records has an atmosphere that makes it a joy to visit and a soundtrack of carefully chosen tunes playing in the background. If you're in Belfast and love music, Dragon Records is a must-visit. A perfect blend of quality selection, expert curation, and a warm, inviting space, it’s the kind of independent record store that keeps the love of vinyl alive.
Fantastic treasure trove of a record shop in the heart of Belfast City Centre - Jeff, the owner, is an absolute gent and VERY knowledgeable. More than willing to go the extra mile with queries and requests and always more than generous. The wide selection of music on display is a credit to them. The best record shop in Ireland in my honest opinion and you're guaranteed a laugh if Johnny's working....
Easily the best record shop in Belfast. If you love vinyl, this is the place to go. A superb selection of psych, new releases, garage, jazz, indie, punk, experimental, everything! And all at extremely great prices too. Owner Jeff is extremely knowledgeable as well and will help you find what you are looking for or suggest a new earworm for you. Once you've been, it will be a new regular for you to pick up that record you've been wanting!!
Wee treasure in the Heart of Belfast, and in its fifteenth Year I believe ! fair play to Jeff. He gave me a great price on some old Jazz Records. Really decent rates, and with such a brilliant wide ranging selection of Vinyl, both new and second hand, I ended up leaving with more than I came in with. Smiles. Really interesting selection of Art Prints, Tshirts and Bags... and every single Band Pin you care to imagine. Thoroughly recommended if your a Music freak like me.
A veritable cache of fabulous riches are contained within the vaults of Dragon Records. Currently housing an unparalleled collection of Two Tone curios, amongst many other (lesser) genres of music. Mind you, I am doing my best to singlehandedly remove them from the shop (this is not an admission of a crime - I refer simply to all my recent purchases). While your wallet may be lighter when you leave, it will only be slightly lighter, due to the competitive pricing within this emporium - no tariffs here, so take the opportunity to make your record collection great again. Besides, your step will also be lighter having enjoyed the company of Jeff, a modern day philosopher, with no equal. Visit it quickly before you miss out on one of your Most Wanted holy grails.
