Visited Double Four for the first time two days ago and was glad I did. A very friendly place to leisurely peruse the vinyl (or CDs, if you're that way inclined). Prices are very reasonable and the condition of the records I picked up was great. The owner even made me a coffee, which on a grey December day was much appreciated. Recommended.
First of what I hope are many visits to come, awesome shop to have a look around at your leisure, or just for a chat. Awesome owner with many years experience in record business and prices his records fairly.
A page in stockports folklore - 37 years in the business and Bob is still going strong! Been buying here as long as I’ve been buying records and every time been met with great deals, a good chat and some wisdom along the way. A local legend.
What a cracker of a shop, called in today off the cuff and was amazed at the prices. Came out with one happy wife after I purchased Bat out of Hell on vinyl. Will definitely paying more visits without a doubt. Owners full of knowledge and make you feel right at home.
