What a gem! A great selection of genres and every record is in great condition. Prices are fair and the chap running it was very welcoming and generous. I picked up three records I have wanted for a while, so pleased as punch.
Wow ! Plenty of stock across the genres. Records are nice and clean with keen prices. Listening station. Always happy to help and the owner knows his stuff! Proper honest record shop with no fancy beards ! Now slightly out of town but plenty of free parking and frequent buses. Now takes card payments so no running down to cash point
Coastal Records is a paradise for vinyl appreciators and collectors, selling only pre-loved vinyl and CDs in fantastic condition. Ian, the shop owner, has encyclopedic knowledge of many genres of music and loves to discuss anything music related. So many rare finds as well as all the favorites. You will not be disappointed. Free parking directly across from shop.
What a difference! "Taffy" Guy has moved Coastal Records from the dimness of the basement in Grove Road to a light and airy shop at 22A Church Street in the Old Town. But there's no difference in the service that Coastal provides -- in fact, the stock and prices are even better. A great variety of music to be found, from rock through jazz to soul, and there are deals to be had. Pay a visit -- you won't be disappointed. Highly recommended.
