Been meaning to visit for ages…finally made it today! Wow, what a great record shop, an absolutely must for any record collector of any age. Took my 10yr old son who proudly bought Black Sabbath Masters of Reality with his pocket money. The owner is a really lovely and knowledgeable guy and gave my son a Black City Records T-shirt! Will definitely visit again!
I love this shop! Great selection of vinyls, tapes, CDs and more. The two guys that run it are friendly and chatty, and it just has good vibes. Whenever I'm visiting Bristol I be sure to go in to get some cool stuff. Just a great place for metal music!
I visited this place in 2023 and promptly found one of the best albums I'd ever listened to in my life. The selection is fantastic, Lord knows if I would've discovered Vildjharta without visiting. If you want to find some agonizingly obscure, transcendently good records then this is the place.

I brought my son to Black city records yesterday, it was so well worth the Uber trip from our hotel. Lovely friendly gentleman in store, my son saw so many vinyls he was spoilt for choice. We would 100% come back to this shop again. The owner gave him a stack of magazines, thank you so much x
