It was the first time I’ve ever been offered free coffee at a record store—and I’ve visited quite a lot across the UK! I was pleasantly surprised. John, the owner, was genuinely warm and welcoming. You can truly see how passionate he is about what he does. He was playing one of his favorite records by The Ethics and recommended several other great ones in a similar vein. I ended up spending two immersive hours there, completely lost in the music with zero distractions. The atmosphere was incredibly engaging—I honestly wish I could’ve spent the whole day there and plan to do just that on my next visit! There’s a treasure trove of hidden gems across soul, funk, experimental, and jazz. Plus, the prices for second-hand vinyl are very very reasonable
Looove this place. The owner is friendly and has good taste on music. Always can find some fantastic music here. The decoration of the store is also very special.
Eclectic and very fine selection. The ultimate atmosphere and environment to dig for hidden gems
Lovely shop. The owner was very knowledgeable & was kind enough to offer me coffee twice during the few hours I spent digging here. Helped me stay awake after my cross-Atlantic red eye flight. Many of the other customers seemed to be serious diggers and/or connected to the industry one way or another, which can only mean good things. Great collection, with cozy, cool vibe. The dance record section could use better organization—I ran into some random, irrelevant records from unrelated genres. That made my browsing process a bit inefficient, but at the same time helped me find some interesting stuff I wouldn’t look into otherwise. So wouldn’t say it was necessarily a negative.
Unbeatable - Atlantis is my favourite record shop of all time. Be greeted with a warm welcome and get lost in the crates for hours. It’s always there, that new find, just keep digging. Gems for every budget, and a relaxed vibe for all.
