The 5 star reviews are totally justified and I have to add one myself! I have very recently gotten into the world of record collecting and this is by far the best gem I've visited in London so far. Okay, it may be further out and a little walk from the nearest tube station but boy is it worth it! There is so much choice that it's no surprise the store was totally crowded when I visited. True to what others have said, Alan is a very lovely guy, complimenting me on my choice of music, and like other users, reduced the total price of what I picked up, without me even asking for an offer. Definitely going back here again! Alan, keep up the good work mate!
If there’s a better second-hand record shop In London, taking account of the quality of stock, price, friendliness of the owner and chance to listen before you buy, then I’ve yet to find it. Unearthed nine great albums for a total of £70, including Dylan, Joni, Van and Carole King, and Alan said: you can have them for £65 if you want to pay cash (there’s a cash point at Sainsbury’s about 150m up the road). Then he offered to take back any albums that didn’t play well (all have been fine after a good clean - what you’d expect from 50-year-old records). My first visit definitely won’t be my last.
Fantastic store! An incredible range of stock that caters to all tastes, and Alan is super helpful and makes you feel welcome. Be ready to spend a good deal of time poring over everything! I've spent a good few quid here and I will do again, and again :)
A fantastic shop. Great selection for every genre I love. I asked Alan for Quincy Jones records and he brought me another 3 not stored in the shop shelves.
It's a really nice CD and vinyl place. Prices are good and, from what I've seen, most of the stuff they put on display is in good condition, with even the most damaged stuff being acceptable. Prices are good as well!
