A lovely shop with an impressive selection of records, covering all genres and decades. If you're interested in Soundtracks, there is a whole section with a range of records - not something you always see in independent stores. There is also a good range of books, not just covering music but some cool fiction novels. Only have two minor complaints. One is that the online store is not the same as in-store, so prices and stock vary between the two. The other is when shopping, the staff in store didn't recognise me as a customer, only speaking when I asked for help - she spent the majority of the time on her phone. This could have been a one-off however so I won't hold this against the store overall. When I asked about a specific artist, she was quick to get up and show me rather than simply tell me where to look - a nice touch.
Top shop with a great selection of new and preloved records (they even cater to my tastes) and a good selection of books. They regularly do instore events and and organise bigger events giving Gosport back entertainment it was lacking. The staff are lovely, but don't tell them I said so. A real bonus for the town.
A superb gem of a record shop, both second hand and new records. Very helpful staff and was very happy to spend an hour browsing and adding to my vinyl collection. A great find, thank you for existing!
I can't believe it's taken me so long to write a review on A Slice Of Vinyl. They really are the best independent record store I know (and far outshine the chains!) so much so that I travel from the north of Hampshire to them for such a wonderful service! On top of that, they keep their socials bang up to date, so I'm always aware of what's coming out - which is always a good thing! Please never change ASOV you really are the best in the business!
Absolutely adore this lovely record shop and have been a huge fan since Kieron had his room in Katie’s. So happy we have an excellent music shop in Gosport and love that they do books and pins now too. Well done Emma and Kieron. Keep up the excellent work
